THE
SIGNAL RUN.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE
BE THE SIGNAL.
GIVE SOMEONE A REASON
TO REACH OUT.
You may never know who needs to see you showing up.
The Signal Run brings people together to honor unseen sacrifices, stand beside those facing difficult days, and make hope visible. Run for someone you love. Carry a cause that matters to you. Show someone there is a place for them beside you.

WHERE THE SIGNAL BEGAN
FOR THE ONES
WHO KEEP SHOWING UP.
Supporting someone through depression, anxiety, or PTSD can mean carrying worry, uncertainty, and responsibilities that others rarely notice. Families and friends need understanding and support, too.
The Signal Run began with our founder’s personal commitment to recognize those often overlooked sacrifices. An invitation to join opened the way for others to bring their own reasons, their own stories, and their own people into the journey.
Today, that journey belongs to a growing community—veterans, service members, first responders, families, friends, and neighbors moving with purpose alongside one another.
We honor veterans lost to suicide and stand beside those still struggling, the people supporting them, and those carrying the grief of loss. This is AWF’s mission in action: suicide prevention through movement, recognition, and connection.

THE NAMES WE CARRY
EVERY NAME MATTERS.
EVERY STRUGGLE DESERVES TO BE SEEN.
For our founder, carrying extra weight had a personal meaning. Randy “Rousky” Villanueva wrote names on his vest to honor people and the unseen battles they carried. He took those names with him through The Signal Run as an act of recognition, solidarity, and care.
That gesture speaks to the heart of this event: noticing who needs support, honoring those who quietly support others, and making room for people to ask for help.
You may not see everything someone carries. You can still walk beside them.
SUICIDE PREVENTION THROUGH ACTION AND CONNECTION
CARRY THE WEIGHT.
MAKE THE SUPPORT VISIBLE.
Some participants choose to wear a ruck or weighted vest as a symbol of the burdens people carry beyond event day. Others take part simply by being there.
Together, their presence sends a message: you can be struggling and still belong. You can ask for help. You deserve support, whether you are facing your own difficult days or helping someone through theirs.
